The Diois region is rich in medieval towns and villages to visit:
- Die: town nestled at the foot of the cliffs of the Vercors, cooled by the river Drôme, owes its most beautiful monuments to the Roman era
- Châtillon-en-Diois: Botanical and medieval village at the foot of the cliffs of the Vercors. Very close to the Cirque d’Archiane and bordered by the river Le Bez. It has preserved from its past narrow streets and 20 wells, to be discovered with the whole family.
- Crest: from the top of the Tour de Crest, the highest keep in France, 52 metres, you can enjoy one of the finest views in the valley.
In the Vercors, the memory of the fighting remains vivid among those who experienced this period in recent history. But they no longer have to take on the responsibility of remembrance on their own. The Memorial of the Resistance makes it possible to trace the tragic events in the Vercors history.
